Swimmers nominated for CDSA Awards
Nominations for the Canadian Deaf Sports Association Sport Awards have been announced! Congratulations to Veda Ghanekar (Nominated for best Female Athlete), Josh Baerg (Nominated for best Male Athlete), and the entire Swim Team (Nominated for best Team Award)!
Winners will be announced at the Canadian Deaf Sports Association Annual General Meeting.

Vedavati Nachiket GHANEKAR (Ontario) 2017 Summer Deaflympics in Samsun, Turkey Swimming She is the youngest Canadian having participated in the 2017 Summer Deaflympics at 13 years old and four months.
Joshua BAERG (British Columbia) 2017 Summer Deaflympics in Samsun, Turkey Swimming He finished in the top eight in the finals of two swimming events. - 7th in the 100m breaststroke - 8th in the 200m breaskstroke He carried the Canadian flag at the Closing Ceremony of the Deaflympics.
Canadian Swimming Team 2017 Summer Deaflympics in Samsun, Turkey Swimming A team of six swimmers, whose the age average was 17 years old. They participated at the Deaflympics, and these swimmers have a bright future ahead.
