Day 2 - Solid Swims at the Pool

The day started with both a best time by Veda Ghanekar in the 50 free and a great swim by Selena Zou narrowly missing her life time best. In the 100 Breast, Jacob Blackburn and Joshua Baerg placed 9th and 10th. Great performance by Damiano Panetta in the 100 fly. Veda achieved another best time in the 200 IM and Selena displayed a nice effort in the 200 IM.

Men’s 4x100 Medley relay qualified for finals. Leading the first leg, Brandon slipped on the start but managed to keep Canada’s position. Jacob dove in for the breastroke leg and managed to move up a spot swimming his life time best in his split. Damiano did the 100 m fly leg and swam faster than his morning split. Joshua had a great leg completing the 100 m freestyle in :59.98 seconds.

After swimming concluded for the day, the team was treated to an authentic Brazilian Steak House dinner. Another great day in Sao Paulo!
