First Look at Samsun, Turkey

Swimmers had their first glimpse at the 2017 Deaflympics swimming venue today. The event will take place July 18-30, 2017 in Samsun, Turkey.

"Technical Director Swimming Reed has been visit to the pool site for inspection.

The new swimming pool is right on the main boulevard, Ataturk, just northwest of Samsun and one block from the beach on the Black Sea.

Inside the large and modern venue, there are three pools; ten (10) lane 50m pool, six (6) lane 25m pool, and a shallow wading pool. The rooms (dressing, team, officials, meeting, medical, media, etc) are spacious. The spectator seating and viewing are plentiful and there is a cafe inside.

Here are some pictures. Look forward to Samsun Summer Deaflympics in July of 2017 and showcase our Swimming competition and performances.
