Excellent Conclusion to the World Championships
Team Canada set 2 new Canadian deaf swimming records in the final day of the 2015 World Deaf Swimming Championships in San Antonio, Texas. Joshua Baerg set the tone for the day by breaking his own Canadian record in the Men’s 50 metre breaststroke. The youngest swimmer in the finals, Baerg swam a blistering 31.32 – good for 7th in the World.
Team Canada then went on to break a 22 year old Canadian record in the Men’s 4×100 freestyle relay. Thomas Osborn, Brandon Van Wyk, Damiano Panetta and Joshua Baerg swam a time of 3:50.08 and placed 5th in the World.
