"Young" Team Canada Moving Up in the World!
Team Canada was 5th in the world in the Men’s 4X200 freestyle relay finals at the 2015 World Deaf Swimming Championships. One of the youngest in the event, the team moved up 2 places from their 7th place finish at the 2013 Deaflympics. This exciting end to Day 1 of the competition featured 2015 personal best splits for all Team Canada members.
In the men's 100 metre freestyle finals, Thomas Osborn, the youngest finalist in the event, established himself as the 7th fastest deaf man in the world for this signature race. Osborn added half a second in the final to the personal best of 54.73 he recorded in this morning’s preliminaries.
It was a great start for Team Canada!
